AN INTERVIEW
An Interview is a single, ongoing, itinerant performance, now entering its 4th year. It consists of an interlocking series of one-hour segments. In each, two people sit across a table from one another, they could be strangers or friends, they might know a great deal about each other or almost nothing. Neither of them knows what is about to happen, except that they share a task: to get through the documentary remains of a prior conversation together, and then to embark on an exchange of their own, on any topic, and sustain it until the buzzer sounds. Whatever happens in that time is up to them, and to us in the audience. One person asks questions, the other person answers, the rest of us watch them figure it out, together we arrive at a destination some distance from where we started. It is both ordinary and unpredictable, but once you have been through one segment, you will feel compelled to know what will happen in the next. And you can! For six glorious weeks An Interview returns to Rhinofest for its longest run yet, every Saturday at 5pm. You’ve never seen anything like it, even if you’ve seen it before.
