Make Misstakes
Make Misstakes (or how I learned to have fun again) is a one-man show all about recovery. After a hectic 2024 involving being held at gunpoint, an injury, a best friend leaving the country, a harsh breakup, a relapse, and then a turn to sobriety, Michael reexamines where he is now through games, awards, and how he would adapt AA’s 12 steps for a more fun (and maybe less secular?) crowd.

Also in the program there will be trigger phrases the audience can yell at any point. When they tell a trigger phrase, Michael must do a corresponding task. They are designed to derail the show. It’s immersive therapy to help Michael be more comfortable making mistakes and riding the wave of change after a year absolutely full of it.
