microChicago presents “The Body Politic”, an exploration of city, state and nation through a collection of short plays by the microChicago Playwrights’ Ensemble.
The Body Politic aims to be an exploration of city, state and nation through a collection of ensemble short plays derived from traditional/classic literature and 2 pg microLiving Newspapers by members of our and the greater Chicago community, discussing and playing at the current socio-political state of the body politics of American and Chicago life.
The ensemble: Scott Carter Cooper, Rachel Herriges, David Lipschutz and Tanise Robnett, with two-page microLiving Newspapers from mLN Unit members: Sisah Berlatsky, Andie Dae, Lisa Dellagiarino Feriend, Justice Ford, Leslie Hull, Conor McShane, Alife Muhammad, Ben Schatzel, Annie Share and Yiidum Charles-Wiwa.
Performed by the Chicago Citizens Group, and featuring Beat Pieces from Alekzander Sayers of A Beautiful Night in Our Neighborhood, The Local Lab Co, and tranScript Productions.
