The Boat (Godot #987)
Written and directed by Arkadiy Yakhnis
Dmitri Peskov as Larry
Charley Roetting as Charlie
Larry is 60 years old. Every night he drags the boat on a cart to the lake, but does not have the strength to even go halfway, so he keeps stopping and returning home.
Once upon a time, he and his wife, young and happy, would take a boat out to the lake. They would sail far away and make love in the boat. They were exhilarated, and the boat would elevate above the ground.
His wife died more than 30 years ago and his life ended. All he tries to do is to return to his happy past.
Today he goes to the lake and again stops halfway. Unexpectedly, there he meets Charlie, a young man of about 25.
Charlie is ready to help Larry drag the boat to the desired lake…
