Jumping from the antebellum South to 2017, this provocative farce follows Harper's journey from bride-to-be to kidnapped free woman trapped by "slave catchers" hired by her future mother-in-law.  Through unexpected comedy and raw revelations, Harper and her captors, each with their own desperate dreams, search for true liberation. In worlds divided by centuries, race, gender, and class but united by America's unfinished struggle, how do we reclaim our stories.
