Cry Baby
Cry Baby
New work by Nena Martins
A one-woman show about how the patriarchy infiltrates sexual dynamics. It follows one character (She) as she attempts to get ready to receive someone new into her room. To do so, she must clean up all of the mess that is around. Cry Baby started as a response to the statistic that nearly 40% of women cry during or after sex. The intersection between the infantilization of women and submissiveness in sex may be part of this phenomenon. How can we explore sexual dynamics safely? Where is the line?
