Among the Spirits
In 1924, Harry Houdini released his controversial book “A Magician Among the Spirits” chronicling his 25 year long investigation of fraudulent practices in spiritualism. Combining passages from Houdini’s book with personal verbatim interviews with estranged family members, Among the Spirits explores the grief and spirits of the past and finds relevance in the struggle of a man over 100 years ago.

Dominic Gross is a New York based Actor. Among the Spirits marks his first ever self produced piece of theatre! He is a company member at the Illinois Shakespeare Festival where he has done four seasons. Gross was also seen in the Atlantic Theatre Company’s world premiere production of Grief Camp by Eliya Smith. He graduated with a BFA in acting from The University of Texas at Austin in 2025. Gross is a proud member of The International Brotherhood of Magicians. He is grateful for the support of his family and friends, who make all of this possible.
